When Coach Steve couldn’t find the right type of soccer program for his son, he created one of his own. That program, Little Kicks Soccer, now serves in excess of 8,000 players annually in a market full of options for youth soccer programs. When his son took an interest in lacrosse, Coach Steve found himself again seeking appropriate options for youth lacrosse as well. Nowhere was there a program that taught basic, fundamental lacrosse skills through fun and silly games, in a safe and positive environment, without requiring a $400 – $500 investment.
Lacrosse is a unique sport that requires unique equipment and instruction, and there just aren’t a lot of options for younger children in particular, beyond some basic scooper programs. While trying to recruit other families to play lacrosse, Coach Steve learned that parents were very hesitant to spend $400-$500 on equipment and registration fees on an activity in which their children might soon lose interest. He created the Little Stix Lacrosse business model to bring lacrosse to thousands of boys and girls, by teaching them lacrosse for a reasonable flat fee that includes equipment usage: sticks, balls, goals, protective eyewear and more. All kids need to bring is comfortable clothing, a water bottle, and plenty of enthusiasm!
With this unique approach, Little Stix Lacrosse was born and has been growing ever since.
